About Foundations Class | Fall 2019

Our Foundations class is the next step for those seeking to learn more about DCC, join a community, begin to serve, be baptized, and become a member. This 5-week class walks through what we believe (doctrine), why it's important to belong (membership), who we are (our conviction), why we are here (context & mission), and how we function (leadership, ministries, partners, and finances). By the end, you’ll have clear next steps for how to grow and get further connected. Note: this class is required for membership with DCC.

This class will be offered regularly throughout the year on Sundays, during the 9 am gathering in the multi-purpose room, taught by the DCC Elders. This will allow a participant to attend a class and then join the 11 am gathering.

The current class dates are listed below. You can join the class at any time, and take any missed classes in the next round.

When: September 15 - October 13
Sessions: Sundays @ 9:00AM | 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13

  • 9/15 #1: What we believe
  • 9/22 #2: Why belong
  • 9/29 #3: Who we are
  • 10/6 #4: Why we are here
  • 10/13 #5: How we function

CHILD CARE

The following options are available for families participating with young children (6 months – 3rd grade):

  1. You may check your children into Cornerstone Kids for the first gathering while you take the class, and then have your children join you in the second gathering (age appropriate resources are available).
  2. Or, you may check your children into Cornerstone Kids for both gatherings (though you will need to pick your child up in between each gathering). *Subject to availability.
  3. Or, parents may also bring their children to the class, provided they are able to help provide a distraction-free environment for those participating in the class.
