CLASS DESCRIPTION

The pre-marital class, Building a Strong Marriage, is a five-week study on biblical marriage designed to help you gain clarity on theology, your relationship, and relational skills. The course is open to engaged couples who want to build a solid gospel foundation for their marriage. The class is required if you wish to have a DCC pastor officiate your wedding.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Congratulations on your engagement! We are excited to partner with you both in God’s redemptive plan for your relationship in marriage.

Before registering for the class, please read our Marriage Packet to understand DCC’s marriage policy, perspective on marriage and weddings, details on premarital expectations, and guidelines for planning a wedding.

We recommend you begin the process as soon as possible after engagement. We recommend a minimum of 3 months notice prior to the wedding to plan for the ceremony and prepare you for marriage through the Pre-Marital Class.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR THE BUILDING A STRONG MARRIAGE CLASS?

As a gift to engaged couples participating with DCC, there is no cost for the Building a Strong Marriage Class.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHILE I WAIT FOR THE BUILDING A STRONG MARRIAGE CLASS?

Commit to discipleship in all the spheres God has provided to you. Engage in community, dig deep in Discipleship Group, and spend lots of time with your loving Father. If you haven’t read The Meaning of Marriage, we recommend you read the book together prior to the beginning of the class.
